The partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Insight Recovery Center is ideal for those clients that need a large amount of structured activities, therapeutic treatment, accountability, and support while maintaining their life of sobriety and avoiding relapse.
While some clients may transition into our PHP program from a recently completed inpatient treatment center, it is not necessary. Our trained and compassionate staff will assess the individual needs of the prospective client and make the necessary treatment recommendations.
Those that do require our PHP receive a high level of care and supervision in a safe and comfortable environment. Call 828.826.1376 today to learn more about our partial hospitalization program.
What Is a Partial Hospitalization Program?
A PHP is a treatment program that offers an extremely high level of structure and accountability. It focuses on building up coping skills and providing tools to resist temptations and negative behaviors. Many operate during the day, allowing clients to sleep in their own beds. In many ways, it is similar to an intensive outpatient program (IOP) but with more programming and support.
A partial hospitalization program can vary in length, but many are typically 5-7 days per week and 4-6 hours per day. At Insight Recovery Center, we can accommodate up to 16 participants in our treatment program, who will be closely supervised by our professional addiction treatment staff. The total duration of the PHP will vary based upon the needs of the individual and can last for weeks or months, with many participants stepping down to another form of outpatient treatment after completion of the PHP.
What to Expect from a PHP in Asheville, NC
Each person’s addiction journey is different, and the same is true for their journey of recovery. A partial hospitalization program may not be suitable for everyone. Our addiction therapy specialists at Insight Recovery Center can recommend the right level of care based on your individual treatment needs.
A PHP offers a very high level of support, structure, and accountability. Most of a client’s time will be scheduled and filled with treatment, therapy, and various activities. All of these are intended to promote healing of mind, body, and spirit so that the client can better maintain their life of recovery with less chance of relapse. Our partial hospitalization program can accommodate up to 16 clients at one time and offers supervision and care. For many clients, their treatment plan may start with a PHP and then see them transition to an intensive outpatient program (IOP).
What Treatments Are Offered in a PHP?
At Insight Recovery Center we provide a mix of evidence-based and holistic therapies. Since there is no one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach, the programming in a PHP is designed to meet the needs of each individual client.
Some of the therapies used might include:
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Motivational interviewing (MI)
- Trauma therapy
- Adventure therapy
- Experiential therapy
- Yoga
- Meditation
- Acupuncture
- Nature/Activities and hiking trips
- Weekend outings
Evidence-based practices like CBT can be combined with more holistic approaches like meditation. Our treatment approach stems from the belief that every form of addiction and mental health has a corresponding emotional root of origin. We do not see individuals as sick or broken people but rather as future helpers or healers themselves, awaiting their own life’s repurposing. We simply help you discover your recovery.
